How it works

Home repairs, without the guesswork

Finding someone reliable shouldn't be the hardest part of a repair. Here's what happens from the moment you book to the moment your provider gets paid.

A quiet residential street lined with palm trees and family homes.

For clients

From booking to done, in four steps

  1. 1

    Describe the job

Choose a service, tell us what's wrong and add a few photos. The more detail you give, the more accurate your quotes will be.

  2. 2

    Compare and choose

Vetted providers near you send quotes with parts and labour listed separately. Check their ratings and reviews, then pick the one that suits you.

  3. 3

    Know who's coming

Chat with your provider in the app, see when they're on the way, and know exactly who will be at your door.

  4. 4

    Confirm, pay and rate

When the work is done, check it and confirm. Only then is your payment released. Rate your provider to help your neighbours choose well.

The Area app tracking a job: the provider arrives in 12 minutes, then the job is completed and payment is released.

Payment protection

Your money only moves when you say so

Paying a stranger up front is a gamble. Paying cash at the door isn't safe either. Area sits in the middle so both sides are protected.

  1. Step 1

    You pay when you book

In naira, by card, bank transfer or USSD. No cash at the door.

  2. Step 2

    Area holds it safely

Your provider can see the job is paid for, but can't touch the money yet.

  3. Step 3

    Released when you confirm

Once you're happy with the work, the payment goes to your provider.

If it isn't right, we'll help make it right
